FabHotel Hari Kunj 900 m from Kashi Vishwanath Temple

**title: horrible experience - do not stay here!** **rating: 1/5** i checked out today from hotel hari kunj in varanasi, where i stayed from 25-08-2024 to 28-08-2024 (booking id: zpdgoe). my experience was terrible, and i would not recommend this hotel to anyone. firstly, there was no one to help us with our luggage when we arrived, even though the hotel is located on the 1st floor, requiring us to climb 32 stairs. this was especially challenging as i was traveling with my elderly parents. despite requesting an early check-in at 10:00 hrs through the booking.com app, we were only given our rooms at 12:00 hrs. we had booked two identical rooms with balconies, but what we got was not what was advertised. room 102 was slightly bigger, but the balcony was unusable because the ac unit was installed right behind the balcony door, making it inaccessible. the room was clean, but the bathroom was a disaster. sand was coming out of the water tap, making it impossible even to wash our faces. when i asked the staff about this, they casually responded, "ganga mein pani jada hai, is liye balu a raha hai," which is completely unacceptable. the staff was uncooperative and unhelpful throughout our stay. they do not offer room service but gave us a number for an outside restaurant named "payash." the food from the restaurant was good, but when we asked for plates, spoons, and bowls, one staff member rudely refused, saying they didn't have any spoons available. we stayed for three nights, but the bed linens were never changed, and the rooms and bathrooms were not cleaned until i had to request it multiple times. to make matters worse, there were small rats in the room, and the hotel staff seemed unconcerned about pest control. during our stay, my father fell ill, and when i asked the staff for a doctor, they claimed they didn't know where any doctors were located. we had to go to ramkrishna mission's hospital on our own. when we returned, my father was struggling to climb the 32 stairs, and despite three staff members being present, none of them offered any assistance. this was the most disappointing aspect of our stay. to top it all off, when we checked out today, two boys approached us asking for tips, which was completely outrageous given the lack of service we received. this was a pathetic experience, and i will never return to this hotel, nor would i recommend it to anyone. **location: 3/5** **receptionist: 1/5** **staff: 1/5** **housekeeping: 0/5** **rooms: 2/5**

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ hotel hari kunj in varanasi exceeded all our expectations and made our visit truly unforgettable. from the moment we stepped into the hotel, we were warmly welcomed by the staff, whose genuine smiles and courteous demeanor set the tone for an incredible stay. the rooms were impeccably clean, beautifully designed, and provided all the amenities we needed for comfort and relaxation. the attention to detail in every corner of the hotel reflects the dedication of the management to offer a top-notch experience to their guests. what truly stood out was the exceptional hospitality. the staff went above and beyond to ensure that our needs were met, often anticipating them before we even asked. whether it was arranging transportation for local sightseeing or offering valuable insights into exploring the spiritual essence of varanasi, they were always eager to assist. the in-house dining experience was another highlight. the food was delicious, featuring both local flavors and international options, served with great care and promptness. hotel hari kunj’s location is also ideal, offering easy access to key attractions like the ghats and temples while providing a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring the vibrant city. i wholeheartedly recommend hotel hari kunj to anyone visiting varanasi. it’s not just a hotel but a home away from home, thanks to the incredible hospitality and warm ambiance. i look forward to staying here again on my next visit!

A grubby hotel. the entrance is not easy to locate and the reception is up a flight of stairs next to a shop and rooms were up a further flight if stairs. there's no lift so it's not suitable for seniors. we were all seniors in our group. the curtains, bedding, walls and bathroom were grubby. the beds were quite hard and the bedframe is a hazard to your toes. the walls over the bed were oil stained. the air conditioner worked but the curtain over and next to it were flying around and sending it's dust all over the room and our belongings. the endless noise all day, all night from the busy street carried into the rooms. we stayed at 12 hotels on our holiday in india and this was by far one of the worst.

Our booking includes breakfast . but we have not get breakfast . we remind them 2 or 3 time but they dont care it. bed bugs in room. no kitchen in hotel. i think fab hotel has some standards and so i booked this hotel. i stayed in fab hotels in bengaluru , it is good. this hotel is shame for fab group. you have included breakfast cost in our booking , but they didnt provide the same and not refund the amount. the amenities shown in booking is not real and is fake. we stayed 3 night , they has not cleaned the room and not changed bed sheets. terrible.

This actually booked some other hotel but later they moved here before the day i check in. however the hotel staff are good and rooms are well maintained. and near to temple. i suggest people to go for it.

Room is very good in terms of cleanliness but the attitude and behaviour of the reception staff and owners is extremely horrible better to stay in other places nearby. they intentionally want you to pay more for the room and are extremely not approachable for any talks and are only bothered about money and not the service that’s why 0 rating for service and approach.
